Show Off Your Learning!

Yes! That time of year that cumulative state tests are here. Teachers get a little anxious. Did I do enough? Did I reach them? Will they remember? Can they apply what they know? But at the end of the day the attention needs to be put on the student. It’s not what the teacher has done, but what the student can do. It is time for the student to show off all they have learned. Trust them, they have learned alot!

In Virginia, the state tests can consist of one academic year of learning or multiple. A third grade student can easily get a history question from second grade curicculum. Problem is that the content may have been covered over a year ago.

Below are resources to help you review with your students on all grade levels so they can Show Off Their Learning! (The websites are from schools across the state.) Many schools have put together fabulous resources for review. What is great about them is that many are created by classroom teachers who are finding things for their students to use – so you know they are good! There are some sites that require a subscription and can only be obtained through that school/county. I have offered these resources as a free service to help you review.
