I want to be tech savvy.

Students are walking into the preschool and Kindergarten class with technology know-how. The skill of using a mouse, dragging, typing (maybe not the traditional way) and navigating almost seem inborn in these young students. They are ready to delve into more in depth things…then there are the conversations of the older kids learning HTML code – all those lines that look like another language that make another program work.

You can appreciate their ability. You appreciate the value of technology. You have been teaching for 5, 10, 20 or more years and have lessons that work. Skills are taught and activities are completed on those high levels of Blooms Taxonomy. Yet your students want the technology. Where do you start? Help is here.

Scholastic Instructor Magazine just published an article with 25 Tech Savvy ideas. The ideas are split into three categories: K-2, 3-5 and 6-8. The ideas use every day items, ideas that you have already used to recreate the activity on a more modern scale. Check them out!
